After a 25% discount, a trampoline costs $280.00.
It means you are paying 75%.
so, for 100%,price will be,
280*100/75
=373.33 $ is the price of trampoline before the discount was taken.

Let's look at this like a logic problem and less like a math problem, since I'm assuming you are having a problem with the math.
can we safely assume that since we are talking about 25% we are talking about quarters? meaning 25% + 25% + 25% + 25% = 100% We somehow are talking about 4 equal parts of a whole?
Okay!
If you are with me so far, then how does this relate to that $280.00?
Okay, it says, "After a 25% discount, the trampoline costs $280.00."
So what does this mean?
It means that the trampoline cost something else, but that after who ever it was did something, the cost somehow wound up being $280.00.
Okay, so how did this happen?
Well, whoever it was took a 25% discount, that's what they did.
So what really happened was that they took the full price, then reduced that price by one quarter (remember the 4 equal parts of a whole in the beginning of this thing?) and that's what turned out to be $280.00.
So if you turn this around a little bit, what exactly is that $280.00?
It's the remaining 3 parts of the whole, after whomever it was took away the one quarter.
So now we know that the $280.00 is really nothing more than the remaining three parts of what was supposed to be 4 parts of the whole, until that stupid guy decided to take that one part away, that is.
so if you think about it, you could take the 280 and divide it by three, and that will get you what each part would be.
And since we figured out that there were supposed to be 4 parts, take that number you just got, and multiply that by 4, and there's your answer!
$280.00 (the total of the parts) / 3 (the number of parts left) =
93.333333333333333333333333333333333333
so this 93.3 (repeating) number is the value of each part, and we know there are 4.
So...
93.3333333333 X 4 = 373.33
I think we can assume that the original price of this thing was somewhere around $373.00, or if you want to be specific, okay it's $373.33.

Well, a 25% discount means that the trampoline costed 75% of the original price. Set up an equation:
.75x = 280
Now divide both sides by .75 to isolate x:
.75x / .75 = 280 / .75
x = 373.33333333
With money, normally one would round up, so the cost of the trampoline before the discount would be $373.34 or if you choose to round down $373.33.

Say Y is the price before discount.
Then 75% of Y or 3/4 of Y = 280
or, 3Y=280X4
or, Y=373.33

What is left after the discount is 75%. Divide by three to get 25%. Multiply by four to get 100 %
$373.33 (not exact)

25% discount = 75 % = 0.75
let X be the original price
X * 0.75 = 280
therefore
280/0.75 = X
