Yes I have Risk is a good game for any age group over the age of 9 or 10. Lots and enjoyment for a family game over the Holiday Seasons and also to give as a gift. If your young ones want to participate, an older person can assist them too.

I don't know how much you know about the game already. Basically, you start off owning a country and some armies. You use the armies to conquer lands from your opponents. As your lands grow, you gain more armies each round. But as you get bigger, the chances grow that people will form alliances against you to keep you from winning.
As mentioned, it can end up taking a long time (like monopoly). It's also more for the strategically minded. There are dice involved, but the law of averages takes over. Also, since there are alliances involved, people who have trouble making alliances could end up getting picked on.

Me personally, Risk is a game to be enjoyed by people who likes military and wars and things like that. Personally, Risk is the best game i've ever played. Get it.

Risk has a lot of rules to learn, but once you get the rules and the patience (doesn't need a lot, it's addicting), then you'll be hooked. There are also numerous variants. My personal favorite is Lord of the Rings Risk. If you're a fan of strategy games, you'll absolutely love this game.

Its a dice game that has a strategy game. Its fun for 2 to 5 people. The world is only so big.

the best, the PC version is good too. i must have wasted dyas and days of my life playing Risk with mates on a sunday

I used to play it a lot when I was a teenager.. It's a strategy game using dice... Main idea is that you have to complete missions, gaining territory or destroying opponents armies..
