I want to make a gift basket for both my mom and stepdad

1 bottle of wine, crackers, cheese, and a few chocolates with a bag of coffee stacked on top of brown grass decorated with a bow. I do this every year for my friends.

I liked what I seen the other day that they used a tastefull ceramic bowl rather then a basket and I thought that that was awesome and the bowl would be used often or as a decretive piece,any thing you put Inside didnt really matter but the ceramic bowl was such a good gift

You can buy your mom a gift basket from bath & body works full of good-smelling perfumes, soaps, and body sprays. As far as your step-dad goes; you can buy him tools or a new wallet ; or watch. Or you can always buy him a button-up shirt or something relating to his occupation! Happy Holidays!

Her favorite lotion/body wash
DO NOT DO FRUIT CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For your step dad: that's hard Sorry no ideas unless he likes golf.
