I started taking birth control pills a month ago....yesterday was da last day of my period n da first time I had sex wit my boyfriend wit out a condom he didn't *** in me....so I just want to know how long those it atke for the pill to start working...the ppl at planned parenthood said to wait about 2 weeks b4 having sex witout a condom

as long as you are already on the pill,and you are taking it regularly on time,not missing anything,you are safe ,even in the 7 day tablet free day from the last tablet you took.you should take another pack after this 7 day period,wether you are still bleeding or not.

It's usually best to wait until a full cycle before you can rely on the pill as a contraceptive method. It gives your body the time to asjust to the hormones. But it differs from one person to the other. For some it might take only two weeks, for others not.. So what I see here, is not that much of a risk of being pregnant but yet still a small risk.

So,if you want to assure you are not pregnant, you can take E.C. now. Just for your peace of mind.

you should start taking it the day after your monthly, you take the pill for 30 day befor you start sex again, but the pill is not 100% so i would still use a condom, and if you take the pill at the wrong time or miss one pill you have to start all over and wait the 30 days again to be safe.if you want have sex without one , get on the depo shot you can start sex 24 -48 hour after the shot the shot is only every three months, 99.999 % ive been on it for 5 years old and dont use condoms and i'm even monthly free for aches, pain and period.

It takes a week of regular doses to get in your system. But hey it still works. You should be fine because the menstrual cycle is over. Be careful before the period should start though.

Medications should only be taken when it's absolutely necessary to prevent or cure ILLNESS, and then ONLY if the benefit outweighs the risks. If you have a medical condition that your doctor wants to treat with hormones, make sure to do YOUR research and challenge his or her opinion. Get a second or even a third opinion. Explore alternative treatments. Doctors are not infallible and in the end, only YOU can determine the best course of action with regard to your health. Only after you’ve exhausted your other options, if it is apparent that hormones are the only treatment that makes sense, then by all means, DO IT.

If you must practice birth control and cannot try abstinence; condoms, diaphragms, or cervical caps used correctly with plenty of spermicide gel or foam, are STATISTICALLY JUST AS EFFECTIVE as hormonal birth control. Condoms also decrease your chances of contracting an STD and they don't work by preventing implantation of a fertilized egg, like hormonal birth control does. If you are pro-life and believe that life begins at conception, this last point should be of particular interest to you. Abortifacient types of birth control also include non-hormonal types of IUDs, which work exclusively by preventing implantation of a fertilized egg…they don’t even ATTEMPT to stop ovulation and subsequent fertilization…and they can cause uterine perforations and other complications. Even if you DON’T have any moral objection to the abortifacient birth control methods, at least stop using hormonal birth control and IUDs for the sake of your own health!
