I don't judge all Republics as bad people, as most are in the same boat we are but just don't know it!
Republicans as a whole are an exclusionary party who hate everything that isn't a WASP and speaks English!
It is true that the Republican party have not done much for individuals, especially workers. They had nothing to do with passing child labor laws where businesses were using child labor , some 11, to work 12 hours a day, 7 day's a week in their sweatshops where the businesses were making a large amount of profit. They had nothing to do with minimum wage, 40 hour work weeks, unemployment benefits if laid off, federal education loans, help for the poor, mostly children, elderly and disabled, most unable to work. They had little, if anything to do with Social Security, passing an amendment allowing women to vote, civil rights, legislation on child abuse or tearing down some of the all white male business and eduction ceilings which raised the incomes of many!
They have made the country unsafer starting a fiasco in Iraq which had nothing to do with terrorist, destabilizing that portion of the world. We have spent thousands of lives, resources and a lot of money which could have been used to ferret out terrorist instead of making 500 more millionaires.
The Republicans have put us 3 1/2 Trillion more in debt in 6 years than the entire deficit from the 1980's through 2000. They have allowed oil companies tax breaks while they rip us off at the gas pump. They are the party who has been rift with corruption and have had more leaders, including speakers, having to resign!
In short, you can blame the Republican politicians but the do represent those who elected them!
PS: The rich don't re invest large amounts of money, or even spend it! Ronald Reagan and David Stockman proved that robbing the poor to give taxbreaks to the rich does not trickle down. Bush has proven it 2 more times! He is trying to turn the top 4% into the top 1% at our expense as the rich don't pay much in taxes and corporations pay little if any. Many got refunds on taxes they didn't pay!

I was a Republican, but their idiocy drove me away. Once, the Republican Party stood for financial responsibility. It supported a woman's right to control her own body. There were even very strong supporters of the environment, like Gov. Tom McCall of Oregon--fine people. Their mistake was in appealing to the so called christian right, whose philosophy has zero to do with reality. That is why their policies have led to a disasterous war and a disasterous economy, and the country must dump christian fundamentalism as its political control or it is doomed. Separation of church and state was an excellent idea, it worked, it made America great. It must be restored or, to emphasize again, the country is doomed.

Actually a lot. We need both parties to balance each other out. Neither of the two major parties are perfect, and the arguing between them is what brings change. Conflict can be a good thing.

If you have a job, thank a republican and tax cuts, because contrary to stupid liberal beliefs, when the rich folks have more money, they reinvest more money into their own corporations and the housing market, keeping our economy going and creating a need for more jobs. The extra money left over from tax cuts are not stowed away under some rich executive's pillow, it is reinvested into the economy. No democrat can attest to that because they love to tax us to death and piss the money away on worthless social programs for lazy welfare recipients.

Well, the first thing that comes to mind that you can give us credit for is we are willing to work and pay into taxes so that so many of you don't have to.
