Most people don't fall into either of these catagories, yet you still see way too much of this. What do you think?

I'm not just talking about this site. It seems to be everywhere any one is having a conversation or debate on politics.

There's always been liberal/conservative bashing & stereotyping. Everyone deserves their own opinions but I think it is at a point where it's hurt our country greatly. I have never seen such partisanship as what exists today, and look where it's gotten us.

I have noticed though, it seems to be far worse on this website than anywhere else I have noticed.

It's a shame that the behavior here is this bad. If I weren't an American and the behavior that occurs here was the only interaction with Americans that I had, I can see why so many foreigners have the negative impression of us like they do.

People now are really into *hate* instead of using ideas from all parties and incorporating them into a party that will be most usefull to all or at least the majority. Competition in political parties is keeping our country from being the best that it can be.

Though people dont completely fit into one or the other (lib/con), most hold close enough to the core of those ideologies to best and easily understood (their beliefs) by associating themselves with the title and then whitling down on the specifics

Good observation.No idea how to fix it.
