The day after Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the Christmas holiday. So..I guess that they are just getting ready for Christmas by playing Christmas music after Thanksgiving. Anyway, I love it.

There's any number of reasons a station might do it, but primarily, their listener-ship probably likes it, or they wouldn't. Now, why do people want them to do it? Well, personally, I wish the "christmas spirit" did last longer than just the week before Christmas - not the commercialism, of course, the kindness, good-will toward all that we're supposed to live every day anyway spirit. I could listen to "O Holy Night" and Trans-Siberian Orchestra all year long. :)

Because all the Retailers want the people put into the buying spirit while out and about, like having KMart open for women to shop while the men are watching the game that afternoon after the meal. Or the DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING SALES. which every women(except me) gets up way too early and goes out and fights all the other women who haven't had their morning cup of coffee for that one item that the store "Conveniently" only had a dozen of and 12 dozen women want it.

No, it's usually tradition, and even in my own home I usually start listening to Christmas music after Thanksgiving.
I don't see why people have such a problem with it.
