Put a small x on the back of your hand and look at it throughout the day always asking yourself am I awake or asleep? This habit will carryover in your dreams and you will suddenly remember going to bed.

Lucid dreams are just dreams where you know you are dreaming. The whole hand thing just seems like someones trick of trying to have one. I just notice in my dreams when I'm running and take a turn its almost like I'm running on ice. I think everyone has their own little oddity. But they have been triggered in labs by having a strobe light flash while people are in REM sleep, apparently they can see it in their sleep.
