Creedence Clearwater Revival

Credence Clearwater Revival, also known as CCR. In the late '60s and early '70s, Fogerty, his brother and fellow CCR bandmates recorded folk rock classics like "Midnight Special", "Travelling Band" and "Favorite Son".

John Fogerty split with CCR in the mid-80s to pursue his solo career; it's not known if he has since reconciled / rejoined CCR.

Not only was he the lead in CCR, he basically was CCR. He wrote nearly every song they ever recorded.
Mr. Wizard, John Fogarty has not rejoined with the other two remaining members..Doug Clifford and Stu Cook who are on tour as Creedence Revisited. There is still much bad blood between them. When Creedence was inducted into the R & R Hall of Fame, John refused to perform with them.
P.S. I believe the song is "Fortunate Son", not "Favorite Son".
