Standing up for your country and standing up for your President are two different things. This country was founded on wonderful principles and has been around for a long time. A President is only around for a few years and if he is corrupt, you are not obligated to support him. Your main obligation is to your country, not to one man.

Yes. Standing up for your country is different than standing up for the President.
So we were all still Patriots when Clinton was impeached.

A patriot always stands for their country, right or wrong. But, a patriot then roots out the problems and works to fix those problems - result? The mid-term elections, and very likely a Democratic President in 2008.

This does bring up a good Q.....how are we s`psed to act when we know he is wrong ? It does seem unpatriot to go against him ,,,,, But how far down are we ganna let him take us as a country...? He is making a lot of international enemies that we do not need in these days and times... but were is the line drawn between doing what you gotta do and being nice. I would`t want his job...Especially after the mess he has made of it

If you're in the military, then yes, because each of us voluntarily takes an oath that says "I will obey the orders of the President of the United States, and the order of the officers appointed over me".
