First scan for viruses and then do a spyware scan. If all come back ok then I'd say you have bad RAM, an overheating issue, or bad motherboard. Those are the most common issues.

boot up your computer. and after you see the b/w writing going off (post system setting) press key F8 now this timing as got to be right
if not just try again and again until u get into safe mode
you should go into windows safe mode let it do it's thing, the it will say your running in save mode click ok and windows will boot up. the close it down. like normal.
give it a couplr of mins then reboot,, should then start normally

in a large number of computers you may application the actual on/off button to restart instead. attempt making use of "close down" from the start menu. in case you opt for it off for a number of days you may turn off the tap line or unplug it.

Could be a virus.. If you have enough time before it restarts again, run your virus scanner.
