They come from the heart. The salt is merely to act as an eye-wash. A kiss usually gets rid of them!

Tears are produced by small glands called 'tear ducts' in the corners of your eyes, behind the lens. Their purpose is to clear the lens of dust particles and other irritants. They are produced when you squint repeatedly or the muscles around your eye contract, as can happen when you are upset. They are salty because salt makes up a large part of the minerals in our bodies.

Tears come because your head hurts too much to handle the extra fluid, pretty much.

When you're happy, they hide behind your eyes.

And they're salty for the same reason sweat is salty. Because your body uses salt to run. Just like it uses water and other nurtrients.

Tears flow from our eyes when we cry because they contain chemicals and hormones ...as an obvious person, tears come from the water in your body. When you drink a lot of water, you will get tears, but when you barely drink any water, you will barely get tears when you are upset. Hey, i had an asthma attack with no tears

I cry only if I'm very sad, when somebody close to me hurts my feelings or when I work very hard and my work isn't appreciated
