I don't save per week. I have money in a seperate account that I don't touch. I pay extra on my house payment and c. cards to get them paid off early. I consider that saving right now. I only do this b/c I do have an emergency fund.

I like to save about $5 -$10 a week so that I can save money to buy myself a very nice outfit and some shoes.

Don't worry about other people. Take care of yourself. Save a little bit each week and invest it for the long term. You'll be glad you did. Most people don't do this and have money woes their entire lives. Don't be like that. Do what's right for you and don't concern yourself with the next guy.

You should pay yourself first before any bills. Base your lifestyle on this plan
A good number is 20% of your take home pay. This money can be taken out only for the purchase of real estate and used to leverage other loans in life. It is your nest egg for retirement and you can not start too soon as right now is too late.
You should also max out your 401K contribution at work as this is tax deferred.
Save first, spend second, splurge last..

I hardly if ever save at all.I used to save about £50.00 a week then withdrew the whole lot,after a year,thinking i would replace it but i have not been able to ever since.Now i save £75.00 a month.

you dont need to know how much cos that is of no use to u. You only need too know the rate of saving. I save up to 60% of my monthly income after my tithe, power, water, broadband, telephone and other living expenses. and i am not married
