Emancipated means free from authority and opresion. Are you a slave? if you are, your emancipation depends on your master. But if you are married, there is no such thing as emancipation (well it will be up to your wife). On the other hand if you are talking about independence, this may not be a good thing. My advice would be that you rely on your parents wisdom to be directed in life. And if your parents are not wise (it could be) find wise people who to depend on for guidance.
If you are talking about doing things your way whithout the intervention of your parents, think it over.
