It was memorable for a couple of things:
1) A great and WEIRD performance by Dennis Quaid as Jerry Lee;
2) A chance to see John Doe of X in a straight acting role; and
3) Wynona Rider, when she was still cute.

I really liked that movie and thought that Dennis Quaid's performance was outstanding - he was robbed by not getting an Oscar nomination for that role!
