It seems everyone misunderstood your question, but after reading your most recent post, I now understand myself. The excessive stretching as you have described (with that sort of painful look) is probably gas. My daughter did something like that when she was 2 months old and it was actually scarier because she shook as if she was having seizures. I called the doc and she asked me if the baby passed gas when she did that...and yes, she did, so it was just gas. Newborns suffer from that and it is very common. If your baby isn't passing the gas (you can hear it and even smell it) then get some Mylicon drops and give to your baby. This will help your baby burp and pass the gas. Read the instructions, but I think you can give it up to 10 times a day. Read the instructions first. You can always call your local hospital and ask to speak to the pediatrician on call and they can help you since your doctor is not available.

the first time i presumed my daughter laughed/giggled, she develop into about 3 weeks previous. in spite of the undeniable fact that it develop right into a a pair of times element and then did not hear it for a at the same time as. She began in many cases guffawing, smiling, guffawing at about 9 weeks. She had carried out all the three issues earlier, yet she wasn't doing them always. My daughter rolled over for her first time at 2 weeks. It develop into basically unintentional and she or he develop into on a rather prone floor, so she had some kick off. She has no longer rolled over considering that that aspect... and is now 12 weeks. i have counted her milestones from the time she in many cases begins doing issues... because in certain circumstances doing issues a pair of times is more beneficial a fluke coincidence than some thing else.

My daughter is 6 months old and still scratches herself. I cut her nails, but they're grown again in like two days. For a new born, I suggest scratch mittens. I used them on mine at first, but now she'd just try to eat them lol. She gets some bad cuts on her too from her nails.. I feel bad, but I cut them and think I did a great job. Then there'll be more scratches lol. Bear with it .. it will last a while :)

Newborns often scratch them selves. They dont have much motor control at this stage in life.

They make mittens just for this, to protect them from scratching themselves.

Keep his nails trimed so he won't hurt himself. Keep mittens on his hands. Use baby lotion after every bath. He'll be fine.
