If you are going to do one or the other, go with a supercharger. These are belt driven, so they are always running and produce power as soon as you hit the pedal. Turbochargers are exhaust driven, so the dont really wind up until about 40-45mph.... way tool late. However, you need to be careful. If this is a stock engine, you may need some upgrades. Stock engines werent made to handle all of that force. You could buy a factory supercharger for the 3.8 but for the price they dont put out enough power. But buy a better one and you have to spend mony on the upgrades (piston rings, piston rods, etc.) Its up to you. Good Luck.

Dude be real.it's a 6cylinder.pull it out and put an 8,you wont have to worry about blowing that 6 up.And there is a motor called an lt 1 that makes a turbo charged 6 look stupid and for about th same cost as your upgrade you can find 1 used probably tranny and all.

I would use a single nos fogger system with a msd rpm switch to control on & off rpm. nos kit = about 500.00 switch = 92.00 . Turbo =3500.00+30 hours install . S charger = 2500.00+20 hours install . nos = 600.00+6 to 8 hours install .
