All babies are different, as I'm sure you've heard a hundred times :) In general a 2 month old baby should be feeding on demand (if he wants to eat every 2-21/2 hrs that's okay), 6-8 times daily at about 4-5 oz / 125-150 ml per feeding. When my daughter was 2 months old she was eating around 4 oz every 2 hours! She was a hungry one! Your known practitioner's suggestion is ... strange. Your toddler is eating (assuming he's not snoozing longer at evening), about 27 oz. in line with day. that's fantastic. it isn't too a lot. in truth, in accordance to his weight, that's actual somewhat decrease than you may anticipate him to choose. that's thoroughly unreasonable to anticipate somewhat one this age to bypass longer than 4 hours on any kind of favourite foundation. in truth, many little ones are eating each 2-3 hours. ANd his weight benefit is fantastic too. 5 a million/2 pounds in 2 months is somewhat larger than 'widely used' , yet that's not a difficulty. He replaced into smallish at beginning, so he's probably making up for that. he's sweet around the sixtieth percentile. you may seem for a clean known practitioner who isn't truly so inflexible. EDIT: very much surprised at Allison's suggestion. 2 pounds a month is 'widely used' for a cushty toddler. meaning, of course that some little ones will benefit extra, and some a lot less. (And a million pound a month will be low sufficient to be reason for situation.) And at the same time as that's actual authentic that you do not ought to feed somewhat one each and every time he cries, if that's been 4 hours then that's an excellent guess that toddler is hungry. If that's been 20 minutes, possibly that's some thing else. He desires nutrition to develop and thrive, and the concept little ones are by some ability 'meant to' spend some hours crying daily ... that's ludicrous. If toddler is crying he desires some thing. toddler cries -- you meet his desires -- he stops crying. extremely user-friendly equation.

My 2 month old drinks about 4 ozs every 2-4 hours. If he's full, I wouldn't make him drink anymore. He'll let you know when he's hungry again.
