If you honestly think that modeling is fun and glamorous, you're wrong.

It's great that people tell you nice things like that, but they have no idea what modeling does to people.
First of all, it'ss complicated. You have to pay around two hundred dollars to put a solid portfolio together (complete with head shots, profile shots, hand shots, feet, legs, neck, basically you at every angle and at various closeness), and then you have to find an agency willing to represent you.
They find photo shoots for you, runway shows that need an extra anorexia victim, ect.
They don't pay you (keep in mind you just blew two hundred on a skimpy picture book about you) they take your money. You have to pay them a starters fee, and then they get 30-60% of what the photo shoots and runways pay you (not much).
The photographers can be perverts, your agents can tell you how much weight you need to lose (it's never enough), how much prettier you would be if your eyes were bigger, if you were more tan, if you didn't have those dark circles under your eyes...

In the modeling industry you have to be tough, and I mean you cannot under any circumstances be un-comfortable with you body.

Basically when you're a model, every single thing bad about you gets picked out, and yet you're still just a pretty face/***/pair of legs.

I used to model until I said to mysel, "This is not what I want to do with my life. I have some cash saved up, I have 6 months of college, I'm going to quit modeling and start working for the school paper [ten bucks an hour]"

So theres my story.

Bottom line; only model if you want to make a couple extra bucks, if your tough, and if you are comfortable with your body.

Good luck :)

Well I guess the only way to find out is to apply to a modeling agency..If they call you back then they think you have some potential and can hook you up with other agencies who can use you for certain companies..All stores, commercials, fashion magazines, like different looks..Some like you to be at least 5'10" and about 110 (mostly high fashion) and some just want average bodies..It all depends so try to apply to an agency such as Barbizon Modeling, and if they think you have what it takes, they can transfer you to different companies..give it a try!

Being a model isn't all about being 'the hot girl'.You should have a unique look and some edge that sets you apart from the rest. There are loads 'hot girls'.It takes talent also not all 'pretty' girls can model at all.

'lot of ppl tell me..' and 'they say'...? figure it out for yourself. some models look like something the cat threw out. and some are actually rather beautifull. does being hot equate to being a model?

Please grow up and get a life! Are you so vain and conceited about yourself that you need to post your crap on here for your own reassurance to feed your self centrered ego?

Here's a wake up call for you, because I have been through this school of stupidity, as I am most likely twice your age:

You may think you're "hot", but when you get sexually used, abused, and thrown out like a used condom, you will feel like trash and realize that flaunting yourself like that will only turn you into a worn out old woman.

Also, modeling is a risky career, unless you like to be anorexic, bulemic, or addicted to drugs.

There is no reason why you couldn't try for it...and without seeing a picture, I would say go for it, and best of luck.
