* For Depression
I would recommend the lyrics to Nine Inch Nails
especially "Downward Spiral" which are all
dark and depressing.

* Search online for "lyrics" and "[key word]"

* For "Abandonment"
either "Piggy" from Nine Inch Nails or
here is a good one from Madonna:

Artist: Madonna
Album: Something To Remember
Title: Love Don't Live Here Anymore

You abandoned me
Love don't live here anymore
Just a vacancy
Love don't live here anymore

When you lived inside of me
There was nothing i could conceive
That you wouldn't do for me
Trouble seemed so far away
You changed that right away, baby

Love don't live here anymore
Just emptiness and memories
Of what we had before
You went away
Found another place to stay, another home

In the windmills of my eyes
Everyone can see the loneliness inside me
Why'd ya have to go away
Don't you know i miss you so and need your love

* Also "Sin" by Megadeth
(There is also "Sin" by Nine Inch Nails)

Megadeth - Sin Lyrics

He had an unfamiliar face
Complete life in disarray
A simple man, power drunk
No worries of living, no more anything

Deep inside I've seen it rise
Actions progress to no end
Mirror, mirror please look inside
Do you see that reasons that we sin

Not one to be forgot
Spoiled rotten, so they say
Once burned, forever marked
Hurt by just a few but so many have to pay

Pressure coming down
Down on me, gonna break
Broken fingernails
Digging in, scratch my face

Nervous, like a cat
Gonna jump through my skin
Shadows on the wall
Stretching out, grope for me

Reasons, deep in me
Let me be
Let me bleed
Set me free
The reasons that we sin

* Rebellion
by Samael

Two alone in a sack of skin
Playing the role of slave master of war
That is my lot

Separated but still united
Bound to emptiness, bound to flesh
That is my hell

Penitent rebel
Riding the ether or grovelling in the mud
I know how little is the value of that which has a price

Rebellion!
Instinct is not the path of man
Rebellion!
Renunciation is not the divine way

Two alone in a sack of skin
Playing the role of slave master of war
That is my lot

Separated but still united
Bound to emptiness, bound to flesh
Captured and tortured
I don't want this, I want to leave

How can one go when one has already arrived?
Flight is an illusion
And even triumph is bitter
When only the battle is counted

I know how little is the value of that which has a price

Rebellion!
Instinct is not the path of man
Rebellion!
Renunciation is not the divine way

REBELLION!

* for Journey
"Drops of Jupiter" by Train is more like
a spiritual or mental journey if that counts.

Here is an old song
"Sentimental Journey"

gonna take a sentimental journey
gonna set my heart at ease
gonna make a sentimental journey
to renew old memories

got my bag, i got my reservation
spent each dime i could afford
like a child in wild anticipation
long to hear that 'all aboard'

seven, that's the time we leave, at seven
i'll be waiting up for heaven
countin' every mile of railroad track
that takes me back

never thought my heart could be so yearning
why did i decide to roam?
gotta take this sentimental journey
sentimental journey home

* For martyrdom or sacrifice
"One Tin Soldier" by Coven

Or here are some lyrics from my website

There was a CD by a group called Staind about 5-6 years ago and almost every song on the album had something to do with your question. A bunch of stuff about growing up in a crappy home and being a bad person because of it. Hope this helps.

For depression we sing a song;

Put on the garmets of praise for the spirit of heavieness lift up your voice to God;

Pray In the spirit for the understanding,oh magnify the Lord

Here's a couple for you:
Rebellion: Try "Boulavogue". It' s about
the Irish rebellion of 1798 and what
happened to the band of heros.
Rebellion and death: "The Croppy Boy".
Same theme. Also deals with abandonment.
