I would be there for him/her as I've always been. Nothing [much] is going to change just because of his/her sexual orientation is different than yours. It probably took lot of time and a lot of guts to come out, so I'd hug him and say, "Welldone!"

I would stay away from her! I wouldnt stop being her friend but I would start to be more distant in the friendship.
