What were the lives like for civilians (Children, teenagers & adults) during the WWII era? If anybody could give me a link to a website that gives information about this, or just tell me, then that would be greatly appreciated.

The lives of civilians in WWII varied greatly depending on the country they lived in. Those in Europe, perhaps obviously, experienced far greater hardship than those in the US. US folks on the homefront did sacrifice SOME of their creature comforts, as wartime rationing meant that things like sugar and gasoline were in short supply. Try the US Library of Congress' American Memory project for info on the US homefront. www.loc.gov

My guess is that people in their seventies don't make up a large percentage of the people on this site, but I bet you could find some nearby, and they'd likely be thrilled to talk about their childhood.
