I have 3 children and the other two did not start teething until 6-7 months. She has the reddest cheeks. No fever. She has been getting kind of fussy at night and it seems nothing we do makes her feel better. She tries to bite everything that comes within her site. She has been sucking on her whole fist and biting on her bottle nipple. Her sleeve is always wet because of the drool. Is it possible she is teething? Thanks for your answers! -Tracie

Just wanted to thank everyone for taking time to answer! While I was giving Sophia her bath tonight, she was laughing and giggling and I noticed not 1 but 2 little teeth. They haven't cut through the gums, but you can see them. So hopefully she will be past this soon. The others didn't get fussy. My(oldest) daughter would just have a tooth all of a sudden. So again thanks for your input and advice!

My son cut 2 teeth at 4 months. Try frozen waffles, they work great.

It is very possible that you're daughter is teething. My son and daughter both teethed at 4 months old. My daughter is only 8 months and she has 8 teeth! (4 on top, 4 on bottom). Anyway - I used teething medicine called "Hurrican Gel". It numbs the gums like the stuff dentists use - it's called "Topical". It's an over the counter medicine, too. It's just not as strong. This may help her in easing the pain. I would also try a teething ring or blanket. The blankets have different textures around all 4 corners and are great for teething babies!
Good luck!! I hope it gets easier for you!

I think she's teething. All 3 of mine started teething before 2 months. They all had their first teeth at 2-2.5 months and they cut them 2-4 at a time.

My baby started teething at 4 months, and you could feel the teeth slowly develop. Everyone (other moms) would say "Next week for sure". He didn't cut a tooth until 6 months and was miserable the whole time.

Yes, mine started at the same age, the first tooth appeared at 6 months, any way he was drooling since he was 3.5 months. He will be better in 2 days or so. Then she will start again. He is now 10.5 months and he is still drooling :).

I am sure that she is. Both of my daughters started around that time. All children start to do things at different times. Don't be surprised if she starts crawling and walking and talking before the others did as well. Have you tried zwieback (sp?) toast. That stuff is awesome, it doesn't break of in chunks like the cookies and the can chew on it for hours. She will love it.

My son's first tooth came in the day he turned 4 months old, so it's entirely possible. It does sound like teething to me.
