forgive me but I have never burned a dvd in my life!!!! I have media centre on my PC and from time to time record TV shows, will I be able to burn these on to dvd editing out the breaks. thanks in advance

The absolute easiest & most reliable program to edit & covert dvr-ms files (video files recorded by Media Center) is VideoReDo Plus.

It has the simplest interface possible for editing video files. I use it every day to cut commercials from the recorded programs & movies I want to save on DVD.

A more complicated yet free utility is DVRMS Toolbox :

It was written by Microsoft programmers & freely distributed. It lacks any user friendly Gui (graphical user interface).

Although it requires a more savvy user it's really not that hard to figure out. I have no problem with it myself but still prefer VideoRedo.

I would imagine that you could although it might be easier to put the recording on pause and then resume the recording when the program returns.
the person by the name of Man has been reported again for repeating the same answer to every question, although I wish that he would just go away and find something useful to do.
