If you rip a cd in the media player 10, you can change the format to mp3 with the windows audio converter. just highlight the tracks you want to change and right click them. then chose send to and select windows audio converter.

You can also go to the media player options and select rip options, it sould say format or something around the middle of the window. If it's set to wma, just switch it to mp3 and all the cd's you rip will be in mp3 format.

YES IT CAN.... I own an ipod nano 1gb and all my songs are from cd's that i own......(your ipod does not have to be pluged in to put the songs in your library...... the songs will automaticaly be added to your ipod the next time you plug it into itunes).... if you go into itunes and put in a cd a cd icon will be over in the source section next to your songs list it should have the name of the cd if it an origanl and something like unknown artist if its a copied cd.... if you click on it and once the songs are listed you can go up to the top righthand corner of the page and click the import cd option.... it will add the songs to your library(only the checked ones tho)....

if you insert a CD and import it to Itunes it will be ripped in mp3 or AAC... mp3 is a better format than WMA..

No, it wont read WMAs.. iTunes automatically converts them into mp3 or AAC
