I am a single mother and I was looking to find a christmas program in our area.

Local churches, Red Cross Chapter, county, state or city social services department, even check your local newspaper for different events that will be scheduled before and after the holidays as well. God Bless.

Church, Salvation Army, Marine Corps League, Soup Kitchens all have special programs. you might want to contact a local radio station as they might have information for programs in your area

actually there is not enough
in the small ont towns you have the salvation army which makes you bring in proof of income and your expenses
i do not believe that should be allowed there should be laws saying what a charity can do
like here will will degrade you some more because you feel you need help

sure. if you go to church, you can ask the reverene if you can arrange a christmas for shelters.or you can gather some gifts (they can be cheap). and deliver them yourself to a shelter (if you did't feel like asking the reverene taking others with you.)i hope I helped you.
