I have heard there are presses for shirts, which are torso shaped. So a bit like a trouser press. If there are such things, where can I get one in the UK? Mail order, internet etc is fine.

No, I don't mean an iron. I mean some sort of equivalent to a trouser press as found in hotel rooms, only specifically for shirts.

Thanks for the tip on fastpress, but no, they only sell standard steam presses (flatbed). And I don't think I will run to £10,000 -eek.

That Whirlpool steamer looks interesting - I will just see what else people mention.

I don't think this is exactly what you are looking for, but Whirlpool makes a brilliant 'Fabric Refresher'. Its a stand up compartment that steams the wrinkles out of clothes.

There are shirt steamers- they use them in Peacock's to take the creases out instantly when they unpack shirts to put out on the rails. They don't look to me as though they'd be terribly expensive. Why not ask a supervisor at Peacock's?

yes they are available commercially, they are very big and cost about £10,000 but can press 30 shirts and hour. check out laundry machinery suppliers, ex www.jlajla.co.uk , warning though they do cause damage to shirts eventually, this will be denied by manafacturers. my girls can press 25 shirts an hour by hand, practice makes perfect.

fastpress.co.uk. Don't know if they'll have exactly what you're looking for but its worth a look. Not unreasonable either!
