Yes, you can. But of course charging will take much more time

On the itunes screen simply disconnect the ipod from itunes and it will remain charging and allow you to also use it

well.... you cant.... if its on your PC you should have an itunes folder for it and all your songs.... use it to play ur songs through ur pc speakers....... if u have a laptop then u can use headphones too......
if u disconnect it from itunes and your screen comes back..... look at the battery bar..... it wont be charging.... so like i said... you cant

Just sit next to the comp and turn on ur ipod it should still be able to be turned on even while connected to the comp.

keep it on the charger and plug it in and there you go
