so i have a friend and she's really pretty and pretty popular. all the guys ask her out and she literally is so rich she has people to handle her stress. so she is also my BFFL and rite now she's going through a phase where she thinks that she is FAT. she IS NOT FAT and she hates me because i am, as she puts it, "thin as a twig". well, i think she is taking it way to hard on herself but she really does hate me. she wont talk to me or laugh anymore. shez almost like in a teenage "depression". i want her to be happy again and i want us to be friends. but she wont listen to anything anyone says, especially me. what should i do?

I have freind like that. My problem is gaining weight and she is always making really hurtful snide comments about it. I finally got fed up when she called me anorexic in front of a bunch of our freinds. I told her if she got her fat *** on the stair master then she wouldnt be so concerned with my weight. Everyone laughed and she has knocked it off.

Probably the MATURE way to deal with it though is to sit her down and tell her the comments bother you. You cant fix her own head trip. Tell her you will go work out with her, etc. if it bothers her that much.

Well, if you have tried the usual things such as apologizing for whatever you have done and offering to kiss her feet and so on ...

Maybe you should reverse the karma of this whole relationship. Ask her to do you an important favor to save your butt in some way. Then perhaps she will feel powerful again.

Just keep letting her know that's she not fat. Everyone and even her can easily tell that (if I could see her, I could too).
Try taking her to a counselor, pyschologist. It'll help. Depression like this comes around in teen years like this. It'll pass she just needs some help.
I've got a friend who's a pychologist, I'm sure he could help.
Let me know if you're interested.

sound to me that there is nothing you can do. your friend has brought this stress onto her self and she will be the only one to get rid of it. all you can do is be there when she is ready. it does seem like there is more to it than her hating you because your thin. but until she is ready to tell you, not much you can say or do.

forget about her. a real friend would never put another friend down.Weight can be a sensitive issue for people and its not good to treat a friend like that.she should accept herself and not put u down, even if its a joke.

You should sent her box of something she likes[ex. chocolates] and write a note on there saying she is not fat and is perfectly fine.
