This gay bashing going on in Yahoo! Answers is just enough bullshhit I can take. Does anyone else agree??

Should we just drop out of Yahoo! Answers and go somewhere else, only allowing glbt?

yes, the "bashing" is bad, but not everyone is a basher. the more arrogant ones obviously have no lives and have nothing better to do than come here and act like the ignorant bigots they are.
but leave here and go somewhere else? well that would be just what they wanted. they want us all to bow down and curl up and hide in some hole. they want us all to just sit here and take their abuse. haven't we put up with that crap long enough? report them, and keep reporting them...over and over until and unless it stops. if we give up, they win. they are the ones that are losers! they prove it every day with their ignorance and hate...passing judgment and claiming to be Christians when they don't behave like one. I don't know and "real" Christian that behaves so horribly. but just think, THEY are the ones who will be surprised when their judgment day comes, end they end up somewhere a lot warmer than they expected!

Although I am straight, I am also tired of all the gay bashing going on. I am trying to use this forum to better understand a friend (a lesbian), and am learning a lot about what I knew very little of before.

Although I am straight, I can not say "I am right, and you are wrong", as I have not found any PROOF for either side. So, the most I can say is "if it is right for you, I am not going to say it is wrong". It is "wrong for me" - but I don't judge anyone by my beliefs. (Please note - I said wrong FOR me, and not wrong TO me).

I also wish that Yahoo would start a feature where one could "ignore" posters that you don't want to see their messages. There are a few people that I have been putting up with for the last few days, that I would like to have my system just ignore ALL their posts, because not a single one of them has been a contribution to the forum.

I would like to thank everyone else (excluding ALL the bashers), for all the information they have supplied to me these past few days. I am beginning to understand my friend a bit better thanks to this forum.

Good news: not all of the straight people on here are bashing you - me being one of them. You should see the nonsense I get from the fundaMENTAList Christians when I tell them that their religion is based on a distortion of history and that evolution is a FACT not "just a theory". Ignore the boneheads, and don't think the idiots won't just follow you over to another website (although it might not be such a bad idea for you if you can arrange it). On AOL forums I remember a feature where you could block annoying posters from what you see - maybe Y!A could do the same. Good luck, and remember not all the straight people are gay bashers - only the morons.

Do like the rest of, Greg. Ignore them. The bashers want us to be upset and leave this board. That's their goal. Let's not give them the satisfaction. This board is very important to our community. It allows us to share experiences, advise, help and inform one another regarding various issues. When we back down and cower to those ignorant individuals we only give them strength. Let's not allow them to win. We have a policy here called RAMO which means Report And Move On. That little flag under the asker and answerer's avatars are there for a reason. Keep this in mind and practice it while you continue to participate on this forum.

And then what? I ain't gonna stop. Let them Say what they want, doesn't make it so. I've been around a LONG TIME and I've heard it all before. The ones who have the most to say anonymously, are the usually the dorks who just sit there knee's shaking. I couldn't care less about their opinions. Reading all this lets me know how far we have come but how far we have to go. Bigots are here to stay, but so am I! They wouldn't be so brave face to face with a pissed off fag who's just about had enough.

The gay bashing is awful, but that's just 'cause ignorant insecure people have access to these forums.
Try not to let it get to you. REmember that these people are just scared of what they don't understand, and fear leads to anger/ resentment, etc. Try to be kind and patient with them, because only through love will they realize that there's no reason to "bash" anyone or anything.
And goinf to a GLBT forum will just breed resentment, because it will discriminate against those people and make them want to harass the glbt people more.
It's a nasty predicament.
If it makes you feel better, just report the people who "bash" you/ others. I don't think it's allowed on these forums anyways.

It would be nice if Yahoo got their heads out of the sand and enforce IP banning or at least IP tracking to track them down and report them to the authorities to stop these morons.

Completely ignore the bashers and either ignore or poke fun at the feeble-minded religious nutters. It really is easy enough to only read and respond to serious inquiries.

Agreed, but leaving isn't the answer. We need to report them and drive them out
