There is much to say about the Iraq War but I believe that if Saddam did 9/11 then we need to go and give those people a new life and let them know that they are loved by others and we support them and want them to be free.
THey now have freedom and can do elections and speak out. we made this for them and rumsfeld chose it when he decided to go to war.
If he chose to go to war why cant we choose to support him?
Those people did 9/11 and saddam needs to be taken out of power!!!

The reasons are threefold:

1. Bush needed a scapegoat, and Rummy fell on his sword;
2. Rummy did not want to be investigated by congress;
3. Rummy parted ways with the Bush "stay the course" plan

Welcome back to earth. That is the only way you could truly believe what you say here. Where have you been?

Rumsfeld was the architect of the IRAQ war. While he did not instigate it.....did not tell the president to do it.....once he was in it he failed miserably in first determining what it would take to do and then how to keep the peace once the government was overthrown. None of this was concidered.

There are so many people in this world that could have given great advice on what should be done.....going in and getting out....that it is almost unforgivable for him and the administration to not talk with them. And even if they did they clearly paid no attention.

Your premise is that Saddam was the instigator of 9/11.
What? Where in hell did you get that?
He not only had nothing to do with it he would not have worked with terrorist because to do so would mean giving up a bit of his power to them. That he would never do.

Just how have we won? Yes they have a government. Yes they have elections. But the factions are still so far apart in that country that a good and viable government is impossible. There is little to no control in IRAQ. Insurgents daily kill people for no reason except they are available. Our military should be in a support roll to the IRAQ army now but they are often in a full out fire fight war. They....and the IRAQ people....die every day.

How can you say that we have won. Like I say welcome back to earth. Better catch up with what is really going on.

"Those people did 9/11 and saddam needs to be taken out of power!!!"

Those people didn't "do" 9/11. This goes so deep 99% of the world really has no idea what/why things are the way they are. There will never be a "winner" in a war with any middle eastern country. To have a winner you must eventually have peace as a result. There will never be peace in the middle east. There hasn't been in 4000 years and there won't be for another 4000 years. You have go way back before Christ, before Mohamad to truly have a grasp of what is going on, then you probably still wouldn't understand. Most of them don't understand, they just know that they have been told since birth that all who deny Allah is the enemy and that's all that matters. Why did he resign, because political pressure demanded it, it doesn't have to do with winning or losing, it has to do with perseption and understanding. People don't understand, so they have to point a finger at someone.

Yes you are right, America did beat Iraq, but Iraq didnt have any weapons to fight with, and even if they did it would have been no match for Amercian military power. So what has happend now is not a what we normally think of war, its more like groups of people all fight with everyone. In other words the battle was won, but the war is not over.

Now that Saddam is out of power, there are more other saddam like people that are fighting to gain control of the country. So really nothing has changed, except for another new Saddam like power figure. Moreover, there is no security for the people of Iraq.

Saddam had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with 9/11. Needs to be taken out of power? Where have you been? He hasn't been in power for a long time. And we all know its "Mission Accomplished" because Dubya told us so some time ago, so leaving the troops over there is just a waste of taxpayer dollars. All you have to do is look at the peace and tranquility in Iraq today to see that indeed, the mission was accomplished. Peace reigns supreme - there's no fighting - everyone loves each other and the different sects are getting along great.

Time for you to go back to whatever planet you came from if you all believe all that.

hahaha..bless your soul ;)

the 19 patsies(at least 7 have been confirmed alive by CNN/FOX/NBC/etc) the FBI identified were all saudi. the "20th" was moroccan, if i'm not mistaken. why do you think all the bushies are all touchy-feely and hold hands with saudi men on the TV every other week? is that another oil contract in your pocket, mr. bush, or are you just happy to see me?

FOXnews put out a 4-part special post-9/11, carl cameron i think, covering the extensive Israeli spy network thoroughly entrenched in the US. The CIA/FBI were screaming their heads off about obvious warning signs of imminent attack, and what does the administration do? $43mln to the Taliban, helping eradicate 98%+ of the country's opium crop. Post-'03, Afghanistan is roaring back so loudly, most of the heroin flowing into the world's tender veins came straight from al-Qaida's hands..and it's just downhill from there.
I can't support a president whose foreign policy seems to be chosen by amphetamine-fueled and raging drunken chipmunks. I must admit, the surreality this path brings is very amusing. Almost as if we're living in a bart-simpson-on-acid planet..

Are you a citizen of Iraq????? "Those people" did NOT do 9/11. and, because you've apparently been living in a cave somewhere, I have a news flash for you, Saddam Is in custody, has had his trial and is about to be (hopefully) put to death for his crimes against humanity. Rumsfeld is a politician, and knew that it was time to step back, before all the press and media chewed him up and spit him out. Smart man!

What planet do you live on?
Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11. NOTHING.

We haven't won anything in Iraq, the people aren't free -- they're dying at a faster rate than ever, sectarian violence is out of control, and more US troops have died there than people died in 9/11.

Rumsfeld resigned mainly because the top military commanders he's supposed to be managing expressed their distrust of him and his leadership publicly in the armed forces newspapers. When the military leaders who are supposed to be on your side start calling for your resignation, you are pretty much useless...that was the end for Rummy.

It is simple political strategy. Rumsfeld is a true patriot. He is "the" leading mind in military affairs. He has been in and around the Department of Defense since Lyndon Johnson was in office. I feel strongly there is far more than meets the eye in respect to decisions made in regard to the Middle East. Americans are about immediate gratification and it very well mean our down fall in the not to distant future.
