With your grades and SAT, you will get into some very good schools. You should apply to at least one school that you think is a reach -- because you have a shot at getting in.

Princeton Review has a tool that asks you questions about your background and interests and then suggests colleges for you. I've included the link below.

You say that you are not interested in state universities. I think you should reconsider. Many states have a tiered system where one school is very selective. You may want to consider schools like University of Virginia, UNC-Chapel Hill, Georgia Tech, Michigan or UC-Berkeley. Unless you get into one of the Ivies, Duke, Stanford or Chicago -- these schools are better than your other alternatives.

First off, wow! You have some very promising statistics.

I'd say check out John Hopkins University. It's in Maryland, very pretigious, and great for their Medical Program! They have one of the leading hospitals in the nation. Also, you "could" go the Ivy League route, you have the potential, but that just costs a lot of money and today, those schools just seem to be a name more than anything else. Johns Hopkins is definitely a great match, though, check it out!!

I recommend the so-called "Hidden Ivies," which are liberal arts colleges with outstanding medical school placement rates, as well as top-tier academic programs in general.

At these schools, you'll receive individual attention, as well as opportunities to do research with current faculty. These opportunities will serve you very well when it comes time for med school applications.

I've placed a link below that identifies these schools.
Best wishes to you!

If what you have presented is correct than you should have no problem in getting into a good school, I suggest applying for Berkley-California......its a good bio-med-engineering school.
