Simple. First, admit that you yourself are not enlightened. Be on a quest for truth by emptying all of your set standards and preconceived notions, then lead by example.

i thinking living/showing by example, as in the "walk the walk of the talk you talk" only by your life, how you respond to those and situations around you, can you inspire anything, including enlightenment, in others,,,,, even then, while you can light the spark,,, they must themselves make the light bright enough for them to see,,,,,,,, i dont think you really can convert another, not in the true deep sense of it all,,,, you can get someone to follow you,,,,, but their true awareness must come from within them,,,, you can guide them,,,, yes, i believe there are some universal truths,,,, we will fight for survival, for those we love,,,,, we have a need to love and be loved,,, we have a need to feel happy/comfortable with our place here on earth,,,,,, some just feel happy with less soul searching then others,,,,, part of it is predisposition and part of it is environment,,, with the majority emphasis on predisposition, if one has the desire, or lack of desire, for anything,,,,, the environment can encourage or have no effect , in the long run,,,,,

Gautama the previous Buddha stated "We have always been enlightened" ... so there is nothing we can do to help others until others are willing to accept responsibility and live the Truth!
Jesus said "Let the dead bury the dead"!
There have been many messengers in the Earth history but few have ever accepted and applied the information which they have brought forth. There is very little one can do to assist the masses.

Before one can Give one must possess. It is not enough to see the light of truth one must become the light of truth.. That is to say the essence of your being is unconditional love, you have unity with God in unconditional love within your heart. You are not a "mere mortal" you only believe this illusion. "God dwells within you as you". Pray for a living Saint who has the power to baptize with spirit and with fire, there are many on earth now. one is at syda.org/theguru She is a "christed" being. Become the light, let God determine who he will draw and reveal the light too.

Just being enlightened in your own way affects others around you. The problem with this is, what is enlightenment to you may not be the same to another person. It is an individual process and a personal journey that can not be forced.

This is my way; where is yours?"—thus I answered those who asked me "the way." For the way—that does not exist.

humans cannot help you towards awareness, but they can remind you to change how you are. if you are convinced enough that you need change, then you would go it on your own. no one, not even the greatest of the prophets, can show you the truth, but they can tell you what truht is not. awareness is not about genius or any kind of aptitude, it is just the result of letting go of life while you are living it to the deepest. dying in every moment of your living. it is seeing the harmony in this seeming paradox that is awareness.....from here you go on your own..

If you have actually seen the light only then you can show it to others otherwise it's all crapping. **** happens that's the only thing that matters irrespective of any personal beliefs.
