I'm 14 and in 8th grade and there's a 16 year old in 11th that I really like, and he's even told me he wants to date me but isn't sure because of the grade difference. We're basically at the same maturity level and don't date just anyone that comes along, as he's been single for a year and I have been for 7 months. He's a really intelligent guy, and I really like him alot. His sister in my grade tells me he won't shut up about me, and that it seems like he likes me ALOT. Would it work?

eventually yes, but i think maybe itd be better to wait until you were in high school. my boyfriends 4 years older than me and were very happy. ever been togetther for over a year and its great. but im 17 and hes 21 and as much as you dont want to hear it, its diffrent then.
i know i didnt want to here it. when i was in eighth grade i dated a 17 year old. he was a really nice guy and we dated every summer up until this one (becuase i was with my current boyfriend) and it just never worked. were still friends though, so if you want to take the chance do so

You cant win if your not willing to gamble

Wait for a few years and give it a real try then. You're both really young. Don't go from one person to another and think it's love. It doesn't work that way.

are you the same emotionally mature wise? as long as you don't take the relationship too seriously u will be fine. try acting like the grownups u arnt ( and u ARNT, no matter how mature u are) then u will be stressin urself out way more than u can handle.

hey, go for it. based on your story, it's not the worst of scenarios. it could definitely work out, especially if you guys share mutual emotions. take a chance--it might be good for you.=)
