Answers don't matter because, whatever the result, prejudiced people will see things from their prejudiced perspective. If the White wins you'll say, "Ah-HAH, see?" If the Black wins you'll say that the votes were a fluke or "it's only a drop in the ocean" or it's White guilt.

i must be watching the wrong show, there are no black people left in it.

a black person has never won a show where the public votes for the winner, this is not because of lack of talent.

fiona - from gmtv has even stated that the uk is a nation of racists, something black people have known for a long time

if there was a show with a white child abuser, and a black person, i bet the child abuser would win because he is white.

when a black person is on a show, the question is not if they will win it is how long will they last!

Frankie - your point is TRUE and valid - but maybe she will win because she is mixed race and therefore more acceptable. It is interesting to see the reaction of white people - "racist", "chip on shoulder" and so on - this is to be expected. It is funny how they feel justified on telling us what OUR reality is. It OUR reality - NOT yours. Karl Marx talked of this when he talked about the different conciousness of people in different strata of society. Those not experiencing "oppresion" are more likely to deny its existence as they have little or no experience of it. It is those who experience it that have a broader view and the bigger picture.

It would be grate if she won - but as long as the British public are voting a black person really does NOT stand a chance.
And by the way, many White performers have won MOBOs because black music is one of the fastest selling music genres (as it always has been - Elvis, Rolling Stones etc).
