I'm a fan but I think there has been a lack of focus until the Tampa game really. The turnovers have killed them. They are ranked 15th in total defense and are only giving up 94 rushing ypg. and 10th in total Offense. But they are near the top in turnovers, not good. They threw the ball way too much through the first half of the season. Now they're relying on the run and they've won 2 straight and almost shut out both teams, Steeler Football. Next year will be better.

They had a big superbowl hangover. It didn't seem like they played with the same intensity as they did last year. However, with Big Ben, I feel like he wasn't mentally there this year, with all the off field incidents that have occured. If you look back at the interceptions he's thrown (and theirs plenty) you have to designate about 90% of the blame on Big Ben for mechanical and forcing a throw. His weakness is obvious and that he can't roll out of the pocket that well because of his size, but, we've all seen what he can do, and if he's healty and mentally prepared next season, with the guidance of Bill Cowher, I don't see why Pittsburgh can't do it again all over.

5 Super Bowl Rings. What more can you say about this franchise? Although most of their success came in the 70's, they're still an intimidating team to play, especially in Heinz Field.
As for this year specifically, they've been Jekyll and Hyde all year long. They've lost to Atlanta and Oakland, yet they've also beaten the Saints and the Chiefs. But because they've won 4 of their last 5 (only loss to Baltimore), they're starting to prove they're still going to be a threat next year.

I like the Steelers, but I'm a die hard Cowboys fan. I think Big Ben should ride the pine and Charlie Batch should start!!!

They are doing an excellent job of sucking this year. It's scary when your #2 QB is Charlie Batch and a lot of your fans think you should start him. I start Charlie only if my #1 is dead.

I don't mind them, but they are going down tomorrow in Charlotte! I'll be there rooting those Panthers on!!!!!!
But to answer your question, you can't go from Super Bowl Champs to 6-7. Where'd they go wrong? Bettis wasn't that much of an impact player was he?
