There are several candidates to be honest. Of course T Blair and G W Bush, but also cycler Floyd Landis is an idiot for the dope he used at the Tour de France, one day after he lost his chances of winning the game.

Blair is in contention for biggest idiot of the year. Yet, I gave him second. Top honor goes to Donald Rumsfeld, US secretary of defense. Rumfeld fails to see the big picture in all matters. He's keen on little details, but misses the point on how to treat our allies. Case in point, his comment he made about the French and the Germans calling them old Europe. It took the English to remind Rumsfeld that England is also a part of what Rumsfeld called old Europe. By far, he deserves the idiot of the year.

But between the politicians, it's a lon long list: Bush, Blair, Olmert, Talabni of "new Iraq", Muqtada al sader "shaii cleric", Bashar Assad "syrian president", Ahmadi najad of Iran, Ayotollah khamenaii of Iran, Emile lahoud of lebanon, and some Lebanese allies for syria like: franjeyyi, wahhab, qanso, qandeel....
I don't think that you know them, anyway it's better, because anyone whose in contact with anyone of them is infected with idiots syndrome.
