yeah, you should answer it and get some closure. put it in your past and move on with your life.

First you must clear the whole matter from your emotional sphere. Ask yourself honestly, what it is that you expect from this woman. How will you feel if she has forgotten everything and talks to you just like an old classmate?? What if she wrote to you just because she wanted to know where have you been - she probably did the same with other classmates too-. Only if you are really sure what you expect from this communication, only then, go ahead and answer her mail. If you still feel confused (I m afraid you do...), you better not answer. You will probably get hurt again since you have expectations and we know that these are rarely met! Especially when they depend on old flames...

You didn't say what the email said ... Very likely she thinks you've moved on from whatever high school thing she did to you and you two can reminisce about old times.

Yes, but have a few drinks before hand to handle the emotional tide as she expalins she was carrying your baby at the time and that her parents did not think you were appropriate for her so that is why she was forced to "date" the other guy she later "married"

sure, its always best to face these unresolved issues from our past,,,,,,,, you might get a new understanding, or if nothing else, atleast you gave the communication a chance,,, she may have regrets herself over some of her actions, you were all very young back then,,,,
