I am in love with a guy that had a huge crush on a girl in high school which turned into feeling of love. He sent he a letter after 4 years of keeping felings inside and she said no unfortunately. He was devastated. Almost 10 years later, he has a girlfriend but he doesn't love her. I think he hasn't been in love since that crush. Can it be that he still loves her and that's why his heart is not available for anybody else? Maybe because he was hurt so bad he will never let anyone in again?
Do you always have feelings for such old flames? Can you be able to love again? Would you still do anything for that person and be with her if she would want to?

I have been in a wonderful marriage for 15 years. There are days when I think of that one guy who I loved and lost. My husband is aware of it. Would I act on it? No way. You never forget the good ones that got away. You shouldn't have too. I love my Hubby and he knows it. I just wonder what happened to the old flame. But the guy you are talking about seems to be obsessed with his girl. He has to move on. He cannot wait forever because chances will be missed. He needs some help. Good luck.

It is very possible to have feelings for your ex it is not unhealthy.
It is only unhealthy if you become obessed with the other person and want more than you have with their consent. Some relationships have stated anew by having time away from each other. Just be cautious and careful. You can love again if you give it a try.

yes it is possible to be in love with an old flame cause the flame was never put out and of course you would be with that person if you got the chance to no matter who you are with i speak from expierence and yes it could stop you from falling in love with a person but not from loving them love comes with time and once you are with this person you cant really stop yourself from loving them i wouldnt say that he is still hurt and thats what is stopping him you never know the reason for peoples actions but maybe they need to just sit and talk and find out the reason why he was so in love with this girl if a relationship dont have a friendship it has nothing you have to be friends so they need to talk and if he is still loving this other person he needs to be honest and not waste someones time

well I guess it depends. were u the dumper or the dumpee?? did u think that u truely loved him??? do u still talk to him?? Well I think u feel worse if u dont talk anymore because that person is completely out of ur life so I urge u strongly to keep at least a friendship with ur exes. I guess it really depends on whether I'd not u feel that u "loved" them. Love having ur own meaning of course. Like my ex... I think I loved him. But were just friends now. We dont usually talk cus he goes to a dif skool and it gets rear busi but its hard you know. Its been almost a year and I still wish we were still together. I guess some people just leave big prints in ur heart if u think they are really special to you.

In some cases, feelings tend to stay. May be, it is pure love; may be, it is deep hurt; may be, it is an ever-cher shed longing to be one some day, somewhere known or unknown!

well tell your "friend" that it will all work out for the better! Some people do the same thing maybe your "friend" will end up with this girl & maybe he wont ! If your "friend" doesnt then tell him to try his best to move on someday some one will sweep him off his feet! so GOOD LUCK ........to you & your "friend" ;)

anything is possible in life. And when u really love somebody, it can take a long time to get over them. and other times you never get over them.

i think when you really fall in love with someone, the past will be the past and you'll move on and realize that was not a 'real' love.
