I know how scared you must be. I am 5 weeks now and had a miscarriage in April at 8 weeks. They say that light pink spoting at our time during pregnancy is normal... however that doesn't help at all. I'll share with you my miscarriage experience in hopes it will ease your mind that you are okay. You should however call your ob and let them know.
I started w/ some cramping and brown spotting. My spotting and cramps increased... I really skipped the pink stage.. it went from brown to dark red... to Bright RED. Bright red is when you should really worry.. I wouldn't fill a pad because I kept laying down and went to the bathroom about every 15 minutes to pee... Every time I would get t.p. of blood.
I'm sure it's just implantation bleeding. But I know it must be scary. Even if implantation has already happened my ob said that some times it takes a while to get from you uterus...out. So just watch it and only worry if it is bright red or you get strong cramping.
Best of luck... wish me the same:)

If you were due to get your period today, my honest suggestion would be to take another preganancy test to be sure. It is possible that the test you took on the 6th would not have registered any HCG hormones since it was too soon. If the test comes out negative, then it would be safe to assume that your bleeding and cramping was from an irregular menstrual. Have you been stressed or upset lately? Have you made a huge change in your work or personal life? There are several factors that could come into play here. Best of luck. Definitely get in to see your doctor just to be certain.

my daughter miscarried in may at 5 weeks she started with brown spotting didn't even think it was bleeding she thought she had an infection and went to her ob doctor they took her off her feet but she started with darkred blood and clots never cramped but before the dark red blood she took another home pregnancy test and it showed neg. at that time she had just come back from the drs office when she took it even though the one week before was positive. It was called a chemical pregnancy. I would go to the doctor and don't give up sometimes bleeding and spotting is normal in early pregnancy and may not be a sign of misscarriage go to web md. click on week by week at 5 weeks and see what it says

Have you talked to your doctor? My wife was almost 5 weeks pregnant and started bleeding. We called the doctor immediately and she told us that some spot bleeding was normal, but the cramps my wife had was concerning. She told us that if she was hemorrhaging and cramping a lot then it was probably a miscarriage. Well, the next day she bled a whole lot and it was a miscarriage. Trying not to worry you, but maybe you should call your doctor. Again - she told us some spot bleeding was normal. I hope that's all you have, good luck.

This sounds more like spotting than it does bleeding. Bleeding accompained with cramping could be an indicator of a threatened miscarriage.
What you are experiencing sounds more like implantation.

no its spotting, this is not bleeding.
Never call spotting bleeding when you're pregnant. Theyre two very VERY entirely different things.
Bleeding is like a period, especially if it has clots. This is a sign of miscarriage.
Spotting is normal.

You are just getting a sign of the period that would have come through if you were not preg. But don't take my word for it, keep an eye on it and call your dr.
