I've been trying to transfer music into a micro sd card that fits into my cell phone but keep getting the error message__"card is write protected" and told to remove protection. Ok, how do I do that?
I tried to format the card via a card reader and get the same message "write protected" The phone indicates that it is formatted but will not accept music. I have taken a couple of pix that are stored on the card though?

What gives???????????????

I have one that has a tiny little slider type switch on the side which enables the write protection. Look for that and slide it up or down.

The lock switch is not on the USB Reader it's on the SD card. Unlock the switch by moving the switch upwards on the sd card..

I have the same problem...and haven't found a solution yet. But I searched online and some people say if you put a little piece of tape over the little sliding switch on the side...it should work. I tried it and didn't work for me...hope it does for you.
