My opinion, you never really know anyone simply because you do not know their hidden feelings.
Every person has a blind side that they cannot see but others can. This leads to the question " Why don't people like me?" Some who consider themselves to be open-minded, fair, and non judgmental may be seen as just the opposite.

Yes it's hold true that we sometimes don't even know ourselves, when we do things that are not good for ourselves, so if we do things 2 hurt yourself then how can trust or know someone else. People are people in the respected that we all have fears and insecurities so that means they can't be count on. Thats life it sucks, but that's real.

I think you form an impression of someone and gather "evidence" to support that original impression. You can know somoene better by constantly seeing them with fresh eyes, but most people don't do that and are surprised when that person does something out of character for them-- but it really isn't, it just goes against that first impression someone formed, it doesn't conform with that.
