Okay, if you were treated like crap because of the color of your skin wouldn't you build up a touch skin and become bitter? It is only human nature to become this way. What is funny is that when a white person experiences only one example of racism, they complain about it. Well, try being treated like an inferior for you entire life and see how you become.
It was only up to the 1960's when blacks were considered inferior legally. Yes, if you were black you weren't good enough to associate with whites. And today racism might not be legally supported, but there is still much of it today. I’ve been around enough whites to know that there is a twinge of ethnocentrism in them. It is in all of us. Why do blacks associate mostly with whites and not assimilate? Well, why would you try to fit in with the white culture when it only rejects you and will never see you as an equal? Then the blacks don’t want you either because you are a trader.
More than a several white women I have met have actually gotten offended when a black guy hit on them. The always look angry and disgusted; “that black guy over there hit on me.” In their minds they were thinking, “How dare that BLACK guy hit on me” They don’t react this way when a white guy does it, no matter how unattractive he is.
My white boyfriend had a fit because he was followed in a store by a black manager. He complained about how he was being followed because he was white. I told him, welcome to the world of the racist. White people have no idea what it is like to be black or a minority. Even in a black community, a white person is considered a superior in a group of inferiors.
So those of you whites that complain about blacks complaining about their treatment, why don’t you paint your skin brown, put a afro wig on your head, and use those prosthetic noses and other physical feature pieces made of plastic and make yourself look black. Then you will have the right to make a judgment on what it is like to be black. Other than that, shut you big traps. I don’t know even what it is like to be a real black woman.

That's because there is a lack of empathy on the part of most humans. It's a deplorable thing to be ostracized for being different. Sorry you're gonna take a lot of bashing, but I think you were compassionate and very fair in what you said and I truly appreciate your attitude. Thanks, girlie.
(oh yeah, and I'm gonna get some thumbs down, too. k.)

What do you consider White people? Well of course people see racism as still alive and well! Do you believe for one moment that all white people are the same? Do you believe that all people think the same way? You obviously have some racism of your own and the issues that effect African Americans are begining to effect all Americans alike! I have lived with this problem for as long as I can remember and there is really no reason for us to get angry over it any more! All it does is breed more hate and more anger, and to be perfectly honest, I'm pretty much sick of it!
I love my Hispanic Heritage and am very proud but it's the ones who get mad for the sake of racism that really up set me.
There are people out there who hate me for more than just my skin tone and I respect the person more who hates me because of my skin color than the person who spouts off about racism. Atleast the person who doesn't like me because of my color is honest. They don't have to pretend to be anything other than what they are.
As for the person who yells and sceams about racism, weather they be black, white, yellow, green or blue, have more racist issues then they will admit even to themselves. People who scream about racism among the whites, have a disgust of all whites, although I still don't know what a true white person looks like, and now have turned the racism issue into a whites against the blacks issue.
I was raised to believe that all men were created equals and as such treat others with that standard in mind. You become more of a racist when you begin hating someone because of supposed hate you feel they have for someone else.
Hmm, really makes you think!
But, alas, I will not change your mind because you have already decided that white people are racist. Seems to me someone needs to take a good hard look at them self.
I will stand by my belief and tell you that all humans have my respect, until they don't!
Blessed Be

Well you make some good points but some of your statements confused me...so you're white and defending us now or what?
Anyway the problem is always this: some blacks do feel bitter towards whites, have no problem showing their resentment by the worst attitude ever, then whites (even the ones that call themselves "non-racist") generalize and think that all black people act that way and don't like them....
It's a vicious cycle that needs to be broken....yeah, whoever has the magic scissors

Are you asking a question or telling a story? Well, no matter, I will answer your question, anyhow.
Racism does exsist, but it has an effect on ALL of us, not just the blacks. There are places in society when black racism is accepted, and then there are places when white racism is accepted. All I know is this - I have spent my entire life trying to be nice to blacks, trying to give them a chances to feel like real people. And more often than not, I get crucified for it.
I went to Georgia the other day, and made the mistake of holding the door open for some huge black woman and her little boy. The woman gave me the most ugly look she could muster on her face, and didn't say 'thank-you', nod her head, nothing. That kinda of **** is why there is so much racism today. The way that the mother's are teaching their children. It's sad, because not only will that little boy grow up to hate whites, but he will also have no manners.
Racism is just as much blacks fault as it is whites fault. Funny though, whites don't complain about it as much.

Let's talk about racism here. What makes you think that blacks aren't the same way about whites. There is so much prejudice in this world for each other, not just whites against blacks. Don't we all look at Mexicans and Asians and whoever differently too? What makes you think blacks should be singled out as the only people that go through prejudice? You don't think the poor white kids in school that don't try to act black don't get picked on? Everybody goes through prejudice in one form or another, so get off your high horse.

My question to you is why is it that folk who ***** appropriate to the stereotypes positioned upon their human beings, are people who stay as much as the terrible stereotypes the main? I be conscious racism.. and the lack of ability there of.. I be conscious that the US has a mix white/black president.. I be conscious that if a white woman dates a black guy, it is not plenty the white people who've a situation with it.. oh no.. it incredibly is the black women folk who would be unable to stand to ascertain one among her brothers with "a white ho" I see a super type of hatred in direction of hispanics, yet I additionally see them being lifted up and praised.. there are particular stereotypes positioned upon distinctive cultural backgrounds of Asians.. and those are based greater on their way of existence than the colour of their pores and skin.. i'm disgusted when I observed that White supremacy, hate video with those wonderful lil females.. It replaced into incredibly unhappy to ascertain human beings coaching sons and daughters hate.. yet in simple terms because of the fact that distinctive video replaced into approximately white supremacy, does no longer mean different races are not coaching their little ones hate to boot.. we ought to continuously all be coaching and demonstrating know and tolerance a minimum of!! Please initiate working in direction of your self, as your question replaced into very spiteful..

i did not read the whole thing, but my experience is that whites who say that REALLY think they are not racist and racism is invisible to them. you are a person who can help people understand and you should keep doing that.

Though your views are commendable, you failed to address the issues of reverse discrimination, mainly, that OUR own US Supreme Court has refused to hear cases that entail the VERY same things you are talking about.Discrimination on the job,FAIR education benefits for "majorities"......not to mention the DISASTROUS Affirmative Action fiasco, that didn't work.
So,what's your take on all this?
Don't forget about the "race card" excuse(s) as well.

"Why do some whites pretend that racism still doesn't exist and have an affect on the mentality of blacks?"
In all fairness....
The same reason that SOME black people go around using the race card in EVERY situation, just to be using it, which therefore helps keep breeding the negativity.
