its lovely, its black leather with three pockets, the interior has a zipped pocket and then a little spot for a cell phone, wallet etc. i have no idea how much this costs.. and i want to send a proper thank you note.

They are usually very expensive. Look on ebay and see if you can find one like yours. They are VERY expensive.

You can still send a proper thank you note without knowing the price. IF it cost 300$ would you appreciate it more than you would if it were 50$. It's the thought that counts, not the price tag.
Try writing something like:
Dear____ Thank you so much for the handbag, I absolutely love it and I will get alot of use out of it.
Try something like that.Merry Christmas

The real pradas from Russia are expensive. There are some look alikes and those are pretty too.
Send a thank you no matter what the cost is. It was a lovelythought.

Prada ranges anywhere from $98-$800. If it's a big bag I'm guessing it was well over $300. But it also depends if it's real or not....
