Thank goodness someone still wants to call their child a normal name!!! I just don't understad the current trend for calling your children names which are, for want of a better word "made up", and "trendy"......the other thing is, everyone thinks they're being original when they call their child something bizzare like Skyla or whatever, but really they're not - I don't know how many times I've seen the same weird names mentioned here!!

I think Emma Kate is a lovely name for a little girl, and I applaud you for naming your child something which everyone will be able to spell and pronounce!!!

Love Emma but Kate is a little harsh, so I don't really like the sound of them together.

Suggestions:

Emma May
Emma Lee
Emma Rose
Emma Lynn (or Emlyn)
Emma Rae

Middle name should be a little softer, but then it depends on the surname too.

I think it's lovely. :)

I'd be a little afraid to use it just because Emma is so popular. According to the Social Security Administration, it was #2 in popularity last year...and Emily was #1.

I hate to say anything negative about it at all, just because it's so sweet. I know one little angel whose first name is Emma-Kate. I really like it as a double first name.

Very cute! Goes well together. I had thought about the name Emma when I was pregnant but when my best friend gets pregnant she wants to name her baby Emma Nicole after her grandmother so I didnt think that would be right of me. Good luck! You for sure have a very cute name picked out!

Considering that your first name is Amy, it's sort of cute... Emma and Amy. Sounds like a good match. Not quite sure about the kate middle name though.

How about:
Emma Elynne

I think it's adorable! My baby was almost gonna be an Emma, but we decided on Emily Rae cause Emma Rae didn't sound as good together. Emma Kate definately sounds great together!

I think it sounds nice. Names are so personal. You cannot really worry about what other people think of your babies name. I mean unless you are going way out there and naming her "apple" then you shouldnt worry what others think.
Emma Kate is a sweet name. Try and think about how that name will reflect who she is.
Do you love the name?

I think it's very pretty and feminine, but I like Emma Katherine better...it has a little bit better flow. It also always depends on the last name.
