We thought it was lung cancer, until the PET scan said, brain cancer was more important. I didn't know. He sent me an email after he did 3 weeks of full brain radiation that can only be done once. He never told me till after, and I was the one taking him to all of the diagnosis appointments. He's 58, non-smoker, always worked, divorced, no children. He has a heart of gold. Now he says he does not want to see me because what's the point. I think he's trying to spare me and does not want to see me cry. I said that's what friends do. We stand by each other, no matter what. Shall I stay away when he says he's got hospital workers to take him back and forth? Shall I stay away when he says I can't come over? I finally just went at 9:45 a.m. driving an hour+ to his home, and called and knocked until he opened the door. So different, lost most of his hair and skin badly burned. I still smiled. Dear Lord please bless this yahoo's friends who suffer from cancer of the brain. Please reward his abstenance from smoking with courage to fight. Please endow upon his diligent work with energy to weather treatment. May God be at his side and bless him so the malignant cancer would shrink and disappear. May his health restore as in the past so he could serve you for years to come. May all those who pray for him be blessed.

Yes definately keep going to see him. Sometimes when people are going through that they want to spare the people around them of the pain of seeing him like that, but really he needs people like u for strength and support. I pray God gives him the strength to get through this and the power to heal. God bless u for being such a good friend.

My Prayers are with you both, I would keep going to see him, even though he says he don't want you to see him, I'm sure when you do go see him it's a comfort to him knowing someone actually cares. God Bless.
