i trust the piping round and above the boiler received't be good... i'm not an expert at replacing boilers or re-piping yet i keep in mind that there is a lot extra to steam warmth than basically water boiling into steam and vacationing via pipes...the "header" should be performed acceptable..also there are minimum distances between the water line and particular pipes,,and so on.. call installer decrease back...if he cant make certain it call a contracter attentive to steam warmth,,esp installations,,and get his opinion........also,,replaced into the boiler "skimmed"....meaning drawing water off the right with the help of a tee that would favor to were put in,or different establishing...if not skimmed a movie of oil that coats the interior the boiler will sit down on correct of the water and make the boiling water extra violent and turbulent....all good steam boiler installers understand to do this until eventually your variety boiler by some ability doesnt require it...........dan

Age Concern.

Community Advice Bureau.

Those are your best options for seeking a financial grant.

Broken boiler for a pensioner is not funny with it coming up to Winter. At least you'll be getting a bonus Winter Fuel Payment soon.

ALSO - check you are getting all of your eligible pension allowances.. and top ups from the Governmnet. Depending on your finanical circumstances, it might be possible to claim Income Support on top of you pension.

+ If you are infirm you can get someone to call in on you to "take care" of you, and they can claim carer's allowance.

There is a government funded scheme called the warmfront team.

If you cannot find the website, phone your local council who will gladly give you the telephone number for them.

I do think the boiler has to be not working when they inspect it but give them a call as they will give you some free energy saving bulbs and advice on how to save on bills etc.

They are very friendly and helpful. Give them a call.
