I see us as the epicenter of the world. The leader and the advisor.

Hopefully, we can keep a handle on the Socialists who want to take over our country, and that will happen. China will always be a power, as will Russia. Neither country will ever necessarily agree with us, but with our military, hopefully, they wont want to mess with us either.

It will depend on the outcome of the Iraqi-Afghanistan conflicts. If American leaves both regions, America will return to its isolationist policy of the early 20th Century. This would cause a conflict for world power outside of the USA. Most likely China will try to take over the super power status from the USA. If that happens, America will be involved in world matters only for economical reasons and security.

America will be too busy converting all of its text books to Spanish to meddle with the newly elected Islamic leaders of Europe while China invades India and japan after the united nations dissolves due to ineptitude.

America may not have any role coz it will be split into two countries, Texas and California wlll form into a new latino homeland.

Our influence will be challenged by Communist China and the Russian Dictaor Vladimir Putin ( it will happen) but the U.S. will still be the most powerful and influential nation on the planet. Hopefully a Democrat will be President as well, and 24 will still be on the air.
