I saw this on T.V and I'm trying it this year. Take a some inexpensive wine glasses and fill them with small wrapped candy then take a 1" width ribbon ,Gold or Red, cut the length needed to be able to wrap from top to bottom ,to tie a bow at the top. I'm placing one on every plate at the table for Christmas Dinner.

(Don't believe in christmas? I think what you meant was "don't celebrate christmas" - I mean, how could you not believe in it? It exists - you can see proof at every store you go to!)

Anyhow, as far as your gift idea goes, if you but bulk quantities of baking ingredients, you can make yummy jar cakes and jar cookies. Basically, it is a jar you fill with all of the dry ingredients needed to make the yummy treat, layered in the jar so it looks pretty, and you attach a card that says "just add milk and bake" or oil, or whatever the recipe calls for. So they have a a tasty treat that is easy to make and it makes a pretty gift (tie a festive ribbon around the lid of the jar).

http://www.cookieinajar.com/gift_recipe.html has some good sample recipes, but feel free to experiment and convert your own favorite tasty treats into edible gifts!

Get a partner like me in a country like India who has lived in the country where you want to sell the gifts and has a bank account or paypal account to which you can make payments. Establish trust. Let this partner choose handmade wooden carvings and such items that are cheap in that particular country and send to you (your partner may be able to choose good items as he/she has already lived in your country and know what kind of gifts interest people there). These foriegn gift items usually sell for a margin of about 100%. Share the profit.
