My opinion on this is, We give an opinion from what we feel we know. So, our opinion would be correct, that why a person give it. If, we did not know, we just say; "I don't know". I guess some may try to formulate an opinion from various experiences, this may be correct for them, but, incorrect for the other person. So, I guess it all a matter of opinion as who is correct and who is wrong.

Experience !

I took a short cut across a frozen lake one night, I got to the middle and the ice broke, and I went into the water, I was just about able to get out, and I was almost killed, I got "Lucky" !

A week later I was with some people, they wanted to take a short cut across the frozen lake, I said "Not me", and walked around the lake.... In my "opinion" it is very DEADLY, to take a short cut across a frozen lake at night.
